This sort of thing is why I am not getting rid of my Corsair II any time soon.

Amen! This is one of my few gripes about the Orion II. I do a lot of weak signal 80 meter work and going
from the RF gain to NB, AN, etc. by way of the buttons and then back to a button so I can
“ride” the RF gain control is a pain in the neck. A way to re-program the “basically
redundant and useless Hi Cut/ Lo Cut knob” to a RF gain control (or a mod to add a RF gain control)
would be great!

Maybe Ten-Tec is listening.

If you are to operate "riding" the RF gain control, then why is there
not a knob dedicated to this function only? Or why can't I reassign my
basically redundant and useless Hi Cut/ Lo Cut knob to be the RF Gain? I
don't like the "multi" knob for a function I need to use constantly.
Always having to "recall" it to RF Gain after I try the NR or NB or
Notch.
