Well, I have never owned a 238 specifically nor used an L-match, but going by my home brew Transmatch, an MFJ "Differential" tuner and two Johnson Matchboxes (both sizes), what you describe above is how all of mine operate on 75/80... The effect you are noting is due to the low frequency, as much less angular rotation of the L and C controls is required on 20-15-10. 73, Carter K8VT |
