Dan's Small Parts in Montana is a reliable on line vendor. Many over on
the QRP reflectors have used him for component purchases.
I would not go for large quantities for bargain prices from unknown
auction site sources.
The electronics trade press has had a lot in it about recent large scale counterfiting of all kinds of parts, especially marking smaller die transistors than the original part, with logos of manufacturers who have not made that part in years, and the parts fail soon after installation due to current and heat issues. Particular targets have included any part no. that has been around for years, such as the 1N4007, which might be considered a "standard", and widely used still. Some of the legit distributors have been stung by these parts with counterfit markings. -Stuart K5KVH |
