The reference to a BC-610 was an obvious joke meant to confuse the young and
uninformed.
The BC-610 was a World War II era military AM transmitter. I had the
pleasure of using one at the MARS station when I was in Air Force ROTC at
LSU back in 1958. The main thing I remember about it is that it was
extremely heavy..... It probably weighed over 100 pounds.
The TenTec Orion is way better from a weight-to-performance aspect.
