When running a new line into the shack, if it is in conduit, run a Green Ground
wire in side the conduit. Tie it to the case on both ends. This will equalize
the currents flowing on the conduit and reduce the ground resistance on all the
joints.
As far as washing machine wine and hum, could be the 220 line voltage
fluctuations pending load and all the electronics involved these days.
Balancing both sides of the house circuit breaker box may help stabilize the
fluctuations. maybe help to keep the wine and noise on one freq more so your
radio filter can work better cause of the drift.
Stay on course, fight a good fight, and keep the faith. Jim K9TF/WA9YSD
