They consulted with Bob Heil...I think...but they didn't use the XLR
jack like he recommended as well.
Heil is not an audio expert, he is a MARKETING expert. BIG difference.
That is your opinion and you are entitled to believe it. Just don't
peddle it as TRVTH.
Yes, it is my opinion. So is Heil's self-proclaimed expert status.
The fact is, you don't know that. What you know is that he doesn't have
a degree. This isn't the first time you've used this venue to play big
shot to someone who isn't here. What you're doing is disrespectful and
rude.
I know
of no one in the world of pro audio who shares that opinion. As to
marketing -- his products are cheaply made and overpriced, but he's
convinced hams that they're wonderful. That's marketing.
With new ear pads, I'm using the same ProSet I used in Sierra Leone,
Botswana and Tanzania. Must be real crap to have only lasted several
hundred thousand QSOs.
On the other hand, I've been honored by being named a Fellow of the Audio
Engineering Society, so my opinion may count for something. Or maybe not.
You're playing a game of "mine's bigger than yours".
You caught me on a bad day. Maybe on another day I'd tolerate it.
