This sounds like an answer to the K3...small, modular, 6 meters. If the IMD specs are in the ballpark with the top-runners like the O2, Flex and K3, this could be real winner for TT!

Suggestions for some options:

Fully remote-able, including audio and keying like the Omni VII...'plug 'n' play over ethernet/internet.
   High stability OCXO
True Sub RX sync with Main RX
   2-meter and above modules
Really good band-scope/spectrum analyzer with output for large external monitor screen

Some of these are the reasons I hear from my friends in the Northern California Contest Club why they jumped early on the K3 bandwagon...many of them own two K3's! Of course it helps that Elecraft's owners are NCCC members and they show up regularly at local club meetings and conventions.

Note to the marketing department: TT should market this new radio to the west coast as well and attend our two big conventions, Pacificon and Visalia. Elecraft, Flex and "Y-I-K" always have big booths at both shows.

I'm not a good marketer, but I will post a bit of info here on it, and
hope it gets your interest.

Now, onto the Eagle.....(note, all of these specs are subject to
change, e.g. get better with customer inputs)
--User Selectable color display (256 colors 16 intensity levels)
--Ten-Tec’s unique crystal ladder filters help eliminate undesirable
signals from entering the receivers first IF stage
--10 HF amateur bands plus 6 meters along with general coverage
receive. (reduced rx in general coverage receive)
--Dual VFO’s with SPLIT mode
--100 memories,
--passband tuning,
--selectable AGC,
--RIT, built in CTCSS tones for 6 meter FM
--Ten-Tec’s legendary silky-smooth QSK for CW and fast switching digital modes. --Internal CW Keyer (adjustable speed/weight/sidetonelevel/sidetonefrequency)
--lighted soft touch push buttons with adjustable lighting to track
the intensity of the display
--RIT, PBT, BW, AN, NR, ATTN, PRE-AMP, SQL, etc. etc.
--USB connector for cat/logging/updates
--modular hw design for quicker/easier fault isolation/troubleshooting/repair.
--Optional built in roughly 10:1 tuner for HF bands
--Optional built in Hardware based noise blanker with two
aggressiveness levels, (best I have seen on the market)
--Optional filters 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.8kHz, 6kHz, 15kHz, (comes standard
with the 2.4kHz filter)
--Optional mobile mounting bracket

The architecture of this rig will provide us a vehicle to bring out
innovations in ham technology quicker and more cost effective.

I understand the lack of wanting to join Yahoo groups, to me, it is
just one more place to go, and soon, after I have a hundred places to
go, many of them get missed. So I myself try to stick to watching this
main contesting.com tentec reflector, the original OMNI-VII yahoo
group, the original TenTec yahoo group, and the new Eagle yahoo group.
I've joined many others though, but they won't get much attention
because I don't have that much time. I am not slighting anyone, I am
merely trying to ensure I can cover the groups that I can, and in the
meantime get new products out, enhance existing ones, and bring out
promised features/products.

Thanks
John Henry
