My manual shows the control of which I speak on page 3-56 on the 80708
Control Board. It is R-16. The manual says, "Trimpot R16 is adjusted to a
value equal to the center position voltage of the OFFSET control, in essence
the voltage representing NO offset."

Two things come to mind:
1. An internal potentiometer used to set the offset when the OT control is
turned off.
2. The carrier oscillator, set by adjustment of three separate trimmer
capacitors. (I'm not sure this could even be the problem, but it did come
to
mind).
I'd suggest finding and adjusting #1 first because it requires no
instruments to accomplish and it is probably the culprit.

Subject: [TenTec] Omni C transmit off frequency
Am back to working with "mint" Omni C I foolishly bought. After tuning
onto a sideband frequency, my transmitted signal is off frequency for the
other op, as if RIT were on though it is not. Any ideas?
