I have used a WinKeyer USB with N1MM for the past two years. It functions
superb with N1MM and my two OMNI VI's.
When I picked up the OMNI VI's I disposed of the keyer I had been using
since the omni's have internal keyers (was trying to clean up the clutter on
the desk). I then found that keying with N1MM through the transistor /
resistor interface was not smooth and caused problems. The WinKeyer USB was
suggested.
Now there is a little black box shoved way back under one of the radios,
almost out of sight. It never gets touched by human hands. All control is
through N1MM. Yes, every QSO I make is logged in/through N1MM.
