All,
One of the things I have done in the past is to select a textured paint for
the first coat. Then, over paint the textured paint with the correct color.
Many times I have not been able to find the correct color in the textured
paint. But, by over painting, I get the color I wanted.

Sherwin-Williams will mix just about any color paint you need. I have used
them to match some of the "boat anchor" colors. Also, Harbor Freight sells
a sprayer that works well for cabinets. Their item number is: #44677. It
is a High Volume Low Pressure type of sprayer. Several of the boat anchor
re-builders use this machine to repaint cabinets and report good results
with it.

There's several "textured" paints available in spray cans available in
different colors and finishes found at stores like Lowe's and Home Depot.
These are the type that do not require baking to attain the finish.

The best job I've obtained was by a friend in the auto body business. I've
had several cabinets painted by a local auto body shop. They matched the
original color and texture very precisely and the finish turned out
pristine. Not necessarily inexpensive, but sure looked great!
