No Dave, the DX777 is a normal multi-ear piece set, the DX767 is a single
ear-piece set.

I assume you mean the DX777 Headset. I've been using one with my Orion II &
Omni VII for a long time & love it. I haven't done anything to the settings
in the rig & get excelloent results with great audio reports.
On the Orion II SSB Menu
Aux input gain = 90
TX Filter BW = 2400
L.F. Roloff = 120 Hz
TX Audio Source = MIC
H/W MICGain = 0.0 dB
I must admit that mos t of my operation is CW & SSB is used only if I need
to fill a band slot or for contests
