Wasn't that a 6DQ6 Tom?

I used a 6DQ6 as the final in my HB tx that I used for NTS (cw). The driver
was my trusty 6L6.
Had something like 35w (input) power.

My antenna was an 80m dipole fed with HB openwire feedline (made of hair
curlers "borrowed" from my mom and 2 sisters) and then a brand new Johnson
Viking Kilowatt Matchbox.

This was my beginnings...1948 Buick car radio with a HB 6J6 converter. I
tore out the vibrator supply, HB'ed the power supply for it. HB'ed the TX.
6DQ5 final. Crystal controlled, still have it. Antenna was a Carolina
Windom. My elmer was W6UWY.....unhappy-wattless-yokel. I have a ton of fond
memories.....Tom N4RS _______________________________________________
