This was my beginnings...1948 Buick car radio with a HB 6J6 converter. I 
tore out the vibrator supply, HB'ed the power supply for it. HB'ed the 
TX. 6DQ5 final. Crystal controlled, still have it. Antenna was a 
Carolina Windom. My elmer was W6UWY.....unhappy-wattless-yokel. I have a 
ton of fond memories.....Tom N4RS
