Just an add'l point:
I have an "el-cheapo" 7 amp power supply in my shack used for powering a few
low-current items (cw keyer, tnc, HTX-202 for packet). After getting bit a
couple of times, did some snooping with a meter only to find this unit had a
2-prong plug and no ground. Replaced it with a new plug with a good ground
connection to the chassis and have had no problems since.
It may be worth a look around to see if all your stuff, particularly that
old faithful power supply way in the back collecting all the dust, really
does have 3-prong plugs :-)
