Pete, all: I agree that a simple model is the right approach. A re-read of PV's book is probably in order, as well. My own experience with out-of-phase stacks was inconclusive, but not rigorous, as it was during contests. Others have said basically the same thing. I'm going to model a pair of 3 el monobanders, spaced 1/2 wavelength. Once I find the optimal height for the pair, I'll then vary phasing, with 30,60,90,150, and 180 degree increments, and see what happens. Thanks, all, for the inputs. Jim/N2EA |
