Well, finally got response from Yaesu (just now). Here was the question
posed:

----
The following inquiry was made from www.yaesu.com on 9-13-04 at 9:04am:

From: Keith Dutson (keith@dutson.net)
Type: Tech Support

I have lost the connectors for my G-1000DXA rotator to control box cable.
How can I get replacements?

Also, what is your recommendation for grounding the control box?

Thanks.

And the response:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Hello Keith,

7 pin rotor connector, Part# S8100639, for $48.17.
Rubber boot for 7 pin, Part# S8001501, for $ 9.58.
6 pin controller plug, Part# P1091056, for $ 1.58.
Pins for 6 pin (6set), Part# S8101130, for $ 1.17.
Plus shipping.

A small grounding strap to the case screw should be just fine.
Just make sure the rotor itself is firmly grounded to a grounded tower or
mast to ground...That way any lighting/static charge energy goes down that
way instead all through your rotor and co-ax lines to ground.

Thank you for your inquiry, Art Reno, Vertex Standard USA Parts Dept.

----

I did not actually lose the connectors. I used them to make up a temporary
short cable to test the rotor on the ground, and figured I would get a spare
set to prepare the final cable. Well, for 48.17 + 9.58 + shipping for the
plug on the rotor, I will obviously reuse the original. The 6 pin Molex is
reasonable so I will get that one. Sheesh!

Anyone familiar with the Yaesu G-450XL rotator and might know what is the
best place on the box to connect to my single point ground? The manual
doesn't seem to mention grounding it or the cable.

Thanks
Noel
