Hello to the list,

I'm new at this and I am in the process of installing 55ft of Rohn 25 guyed 4
ways at 27 ft and again at 55ft.( in town, small lot) . My first question is
about using a regular section of the tower as my top section with a thrust
bearing and plate mounted on the top with home brew covers to cover the tower
ends. What is the best way to mount the Ham IV rotor inside the section ,how do
you get it inside the tower? The only solution I see is removal of one angled
run of the bracing and replacing it with a sleeved / set screw piece after
installing the Rotor. Other methods or advise welcome.

Question 2 is how critical is it to break up the first section of guy wires
with insulators? I will be mounting a 4 element 2m yaga horizontal and below
it a
Cushcraft A3S tribander. I also plan to fly a G5RV and Carolina Windom off
both sides of the tower with pully at about 48 to 50 ft.
All advise and coments welcome . I do have good elmering from several
experienced hams here in Ft. Smith, AR. but more opinions never hurt.
Thanks
Dennis, N5DRB
