Actually... now that I think of it... you are the second guy to mention
the possibility of adverse interaction among my antenna elements.
I say this to be sure I acknowledge the other valuable input I have
received.  The other guy's comment was in a slightly different context,
but it  suddenly dawns on me that he was talking about the same thing
but in a different way.    I am slow, but I usually get there.... 
eventually...

Thanks again.,    I cannot fully express how helpful all these replies
have been to help me sort through and focus on what I can do.
