Yes.I confirm that it is possible.
 
Unfortunately I haven't seen much interest and have not pursued for 40M. I  
have several fractal designs that would fit in that turning radius, roughly 
5  dBi and better than 20 dB F/B.
 
Someone mentioned a Moxon...too big. Hex's are also too big.
 
If there is enough interest I can write something up. Frankly I haven't  
seen it (with hams).
 
I am using fractal collinears here in form factors of inverted V's at  
moment. Mucho DX. I run EU on 40M most evenings.
