Hi Herb
No, it is not any loose connections.
I tried a jumper cable and shorted the mid and upper position on the
backside of the button turning the rotor clockwise and the rotor turns and
indicator follows so it is definatly something wrong with my replacement
button.
Now I need to replace it a second time.
Question is, what is causing it. Why do the right button fail 2 times when
the left button never failed????
Something of notice is that when pressing the left button I hear a squicking
light sound, sort of like springs getting compressed. This sound does not
exist on the right button.

Magnus, I had the same problem here on my VHF antenna rotated by the
GX-450 and found loose contacts at the crimp portion where the cable is
terminated in at the control box plug was what caused it. Sometimes the
the inner blade on one of the contacts needs to be spread apart a bit with
a small jewelers screw driver. That is all It took here. No more
problems.

Hi
My rotor controller has given up turning clockwise but works fine
anti-clockwise.
I had the same problem about a year ago and changed the "right-button" to
a new one.
Now it happened again.
Anyone had the same experiance and what could be the root cause?
