GM all,

Thanks for all replys and ideas.

I forgot something...my base plate is not finished yet...i have an 1/4" steel plate and 3 short tubes that fix ok inside the first tower section.

I have an idea that i would like share with all of you...if first i fix the steel plate to the roof (using bolts decribed by Perry, K4PWO in the message below) then i can weld "in situ" the 3 short tubes and i can correct the sloping without add nuts or washers below the steel plate.

I will use 2 set of 3 guy wires at 12 and 24 ft high.

Thanks,

73....Douglas, CO8DM

Instead of all bolts, use threaded rod on the "low" side and use washers or nuts between the roof and mounting plate to level the plate. Then just add
a nut on top of the plate to secure it. I assume you are using swag type
bilts the draw a wedge into a steel sleeve to hold in the concreate.
They are also available as "studs" and they can also be used as described.

Subject: [TowerTalk] how to install the tower base over a sloping roof???

Hi,

I would like install an small tower over the concrete roof, only 3 sections,
10 ft each. 2 set of guy wires (3 + 3).

I install the 3 anchor points but when i try intall the tower base i found
the roof is not 100 % flat. It is an sloping or pitching roof...it is very
soft...about 5, 7 or 10 degrees. i am planning bolt the base to the roof but not crossing the roof...i will bolt the base in 4 points with 3/8 inch bolts
and will drill about 2 1/2 inch inside the roof.

How can i correct the sloping to put the base 100% flat (level) ???

Thanks,

73....Douglas, CO8DM
