If you put your back guy point inline with the tower, when it’s down, you won’t have to slack the other guys at all, just pay out the back guy. If you mount the winch on a tractor or vehicle, you can put it in place when you need it and take it away afterward. If you hang a piece of guyline on the tower, it will hang harmlessly until you need it. Then connect it to your winch line when needed. If it’s a tiltover, why do you need the guys in calm air?
