YMMV. I installed two DXE reversible Beverages soon after I moved here 
in 2006, and the coax to both  is from a new reel I bought directly from 
Commscope before I moved here to run MATV signals around my Chicago 
home. It's good stuff, but not flooded, not intended for direct burial. 
That coax is laying on the ground, except for a stretch where it spans a 
deep gulley with a creek at the bottom of it. Those Beverages still work 
fine (except when a branch or tree falls on them and breaks the 
connection at either end). There's no way I could trench and bury most 
of that path -- it's through a dense forest.
