There is really no reason to not publish the modeling results (unless of
course they weren't done or are bad). ARRL requires the results for
advertising. Free space and one at a "good" elevation are what the
better manufacturers are doing. A few make the models available.
One more reason I won't do business ever again with M2.

I have the 40M4LLDD model. It has four elements and covers 7.0-7.3 MHz. SWR
is below 2.0 across the entire band. This is possible because it has two
phased driver elements, one for each segment of the band. So, you end up with
two three-element Yogis. This is a great antenna for $2929.95, as seen on the
M2 web site.
The 40M4CDD model covers less bandwidth with lower price $2729.95, but promises
flatter response. The selling point is that one does not need the frequencies
above 7.2 since the foreign broadcasters have moved to other frequencies, and
European hams can now use 7.0-7.2 phone and cw.
If I were the manufacturer, you would not see me publishing a graph like you
want. There are too many installations that are far removed from what the
manufacturer can do to produce the graph.

Subject: [TowerTalk] M2 40 meter Yagi
M2 has a new version of their 40 meter Yagi - 40M4CDD. unlike the one it replaced, it
covers 7.0 - 7.2 mHz, or 7.1- 7.3 mHz. Of course the "adjustable" elements can
be shortened to make the sweet spot up a little higher than 7.0 - 7.2.
The brochure says SWR varies from 1.2- 2.0. However, when I asked M2 if they
could send me a print out of the graph they responded they couldn't, which made
me scratch my head. $3000 for an antenna and they can't do that?
Anyone out there who has this specific antenna, not the one it replaced, let me
know your experience with it...SWR, construction etc.
