I've long believed that just about every fastener in an antenna system
should have Loctite on the threads. How many neglected tribanders have
you seen with elements askew? That won't happen if there's Loctite on
all the fasteners. Mine was up continuously for 26 years, and nothing
moved. The stuff is truly one of the most useful products of technology.

I tried all over the internet to find those screws. I did get some from Hygain/MFJ. I had a brand new Ham IV on an MA-40 mounted on top
and the screws holding the top and bottom pieces together came loose and the antenna fell off. Screws were not put on with Locktite.
Sent back to Hygain for replacement. They replaced the top half and installed new screws. Again no Locktite. I removed and
reinstalled the screws with Locktite. Hopefully this will keep it from happening again. All the rotors I refurbish I use
Locktite on the screws. Skip Bolnick, KJ6YCommunications Service Cowww.kj6y.com818-522-5421 In a message dated

Does anyone know what size bolt is used to hold the upper bell housing to the lower housing in a Ham
