For a 350 ft run to my tower, my solution was to use Romex for the motor, smaller conductor cable for the direction sense. It's indoor cable, laying on the ground through my redwood forest. Still working fine 18 years later. I use Yaesu rotators, the motor is a pair, direction sense is the tap on a pot.
