I own 2 3 month old Dell Dimension 4100 1GHz & 933MHz machines with
1 motherboard COM port each. I installed a Lava Computer Quattro PCI
card in each machine (4 extra serial ports, full RS-232 drive levels).

They come with a utility to remap to low com port numbers if you
don't like the com5 thru com8 that Windows gives you by default.
