Only 13 hours of operating in ARRL CW.  No stuttering here with WriteLog
10.30B, a P-4 1.4 MHz computer, 512 megs of RDRAM, Win ME,  and IC-775.

Checked email while doing S&P operating and this did not produce stuttering.
