One other thing...K0BX says his interface is for "digital" modes.
It works just as well for the SSB keyer as well. I still prefer
the 850 direct FSK input for RTTY TX. However, my 950SD is
"reversed" and can't be changed from the menu like the 850 can.
I used 600ohm:600ohm transformers from Mouser. I had problems with
the Rat Shack 1:1 jobs...

Use the 13 pin data connector for audio in and out. See
http://www.qsl.net/k0bx/
Works great on both my 850 and 950. Fully interchangeable.

Subject: [WriteLog] TX audio Kenwood 950S Interface ?
Hi folks,
Looking for input (no pun) on best way to interface TX audio from
computer sound card with TS950-S - I have the radio shack xfomer 1K:8
ohm - I also want to use my Heil Pro head Set and or the Heil Classic -
Tried to couple via the mic connector with both in parallel but loaded
down the Heil. Also tried the Patch input but audio level too low. Any
other tried and proven methods with this setup.
TIA
