Hanging in transmit, particularly with the K3, seems to be related
to using both radio command for PTT and hardware PTT.  Make sure you
Set "Comm PTT" to "NO" for each radio.

I've seen reports of the problem with other radios but it is most common 
in the K3.  I've also seen reports of the problem with other
software/logging programs and with other interfaces - even basic
serial cables and simple transistor PTT/FSK drivers.
