In WriteLog are you using the parallel port for CW and PTT? If so
have you selected "PC Generates" as the CW Keyer type, checked CW
on the correct LPT and enabled "All mode PTT on RTS"?

It is probably not appropriate to answer N1MM configuration questions
on the WriteLog list but in N1MM Logger are you also using CW and PTT
via LPT? Have you selected/configured the correct LPT and correct
hardware address? Is DLportIO properly installed and configured?
Are all serial port RTS and DTR outputs set to "always Off" or
"handshake"? Is the "CW" check mark removed from all ports except
the correct LPT?

Your problems with both loggers indicates an incorrectly configured
CW and PTT port ... since you are using LPT with Windows XP, it
could be that the necessary parallel port drivers are not properly
installed (each logger needs a DIFFERENT driver) and configured.
