When I get to my local library, I will review the Hints and Kinks.  I
normally
do this each time, but I have no recall of such hints/kinks.
If you or anyone else can tell me the specific article, that would be
helpful to
me in finding the QST issue.

It appears that I need to clean out the memory stack for the ATU for
matching
such extremely short physical antenna loads, as was done here on my 10m
experiment.
Is there a simple/magical reset of the ATU memory stack in the FT1kD ?

I now do have the article posting that I was originally seeking, thanks
to John,
K1RC.  I cannot provide a date, if anyone else is searching the archive,
but
