I would suggest the GRC AB-577 "Rocket Launcher" crank-up mast. It goes
up to 50ft, can be erected by one person, and will hold VHF/UHF antennas
as well as smaller HF monobanders and tribanders. A C31XR would be a
little too big for this mast, but a C3E would likely work fine. PVRC has
used these masts almost exclusively at their major Field Day efforts in
MD to hold monobanders for 10-40m. And best of all, these masts usually
run about $300 used if my memory serves me correctly - a little more
than that new.
