also check interpretation of your current policy. for mine no extra insurance
was needed for up to 10% of the value of the house which is adequate even for
my stuff. perhaps you have just asked the wrong way. explain that it is a
structure attached by power cables to the house and see if it is covered under
either personal property or as an accessory structure.
