There are usually compromises on tower location. Parts of your property may
be physically more suited for a tower, your XYL may not want to sit on the
deck and stare straight at a tower, etc. A tower 100 feet from the house is
not far at all. If you are putting this tower up at your FL QTH, it will
likely be hit by lightning. The further it is from the house the less
induction issues you will likely have inside.

Guys,

I'm wondering if some of you locate your tower(s) away from the shack for
the single purpose of minimizing man made noises? I have K9YC's material
on reducing man made noises but I haven't had a lot of success. I'll soon
be constructing a new tower and am wondering if it's worth placing the
tower
a 100' from the shack in hopes of reducing man made noises?

Thanks & 73,

Dick- K9OM
