If it’s a reasonable size (around 2” or 3” or so) go to Harbor Freight and get
an “exhaust pipe expander”. Put in the bad end, tighten, and it will make the
end round again.

Subject: [TowerTalk] correcting aluminum tube

Hi, all.

Working on an used antenna over the weekend, I came across a boom section that
was out-of-round enough such that the other boom section would not slide in to.
It is faintly discernible to the human eye.

How would one go about correcting it?

Thanks & 73,

Kim - WG8S
