There is a pot in that HAM IV for direction - and limit switches. If you set
the Green Heron make up for the miss alignment - there will be a dead zone.

It absolutely will....Just go to the first menu option called
"calibrate" and set the Green Heron to read the position that you
antenna is currently at. No need to do anything outside except verify
the actual antenna heading. I like to use Polaris (the north star) here.
But most smartphones can run a free compass app set for "true north" not
magnetic north which is a 10 degree difference here.
