Will,

There's a great tool for displaying a website's pictures which is also easy
to use. It's called Jalbum ( www.jalbum.net ) and
is a free distribution. Thanks to David Ekholm for writing the code. I use
it on our groups site ( www.pinebeetle.net )
to display member pictures and also pictures of one of my homebrewed ( truly
junkbox ) 3cpx5000 amp
(http://www.pinebeetle.net/Pinebeetle_Photos/3cpx5000a7/index.html ) . I
don't have the image quality set very high
for speed reasons, but you can configure Jalbum for a nice picture quality.
If there is interest enough for your idea,
I may be able to host the site on my Miami server at my daughters business
place.
She has a T1 line, so speed will be good. I would have to set up an older,
dedicated computer for the new site so as not to
sacrifice security on my daughter's business server. The server's OS will be
Linux running Apache with php and perl
enabled. Also, Postgresql ( a very, very nice SQL database ) will be
enables.
A domain name will need to be purchased which will be about $27 for two
years. I could probably swing that myself.
Who would be the trustee of the new site? I'm willing to help out to the
extent that time permits.

Regards,
Larry N5BIP
