This is not necessarily true at this time of the year and this part of the 
cycle, especially if you
are in the eastern half of the US.  When 20 closes and 40 is unproductive, 75m 
gets pretty crowded.

The 'normal', accepted,  DX Window is from 3790 to 3800. The 75m DXers are very 
possessive of that
10khz. There's a lot of room, a lot, on 75m for SSB contesting.
