I had the same problem after the upgrade, hit the user1 and the rig went 
dead.  did the power up while holding the vfo-b lock in.   rig booted up ok 
but the screen had some garbage on it.  shut the rig off and turned back on 
and everything seems ok now.
can you use the user-1 & 2 memory's now or do we wait for a new fix?
