Please indulge me for a moment for being totally off topic but whiskey is Irish, whisky is Scottish.

Being Scottish I can sign my old family name of Sluagadach, which is Irish Gaelic for "Leader of a military expedition"......... Was one of those for 27 years! Isn't history interesting. The end.... Sorry for the bandwidth.

to the Brits.

"Scotch" is a drink.  The Scots are a proud nation.




I  think that was about the time that the S-9 = uV, and 6 dB per S-unit
standard got popular, and Collins stuck to it pretty rigorously.  They
are
still known as having "Scotch" (as in 'tight-fisted') meters.
