If the previous owner used a non Ten-Tec supply, they would have never
known about the switch. It may be broken, or needs to be cleaned.

AFAIK, 28.5 only was the standard at the time. I really am only
familar with the Trition Series, which did not have the WARC bands
(which were not legal in the US when the Omni's were first out). The
Triton I used to own and the one I have now both have all 10m
crystals, but they were an option.

It's unfortunately an issue with all rigs of that age. There have been
MANY discussions here and on other lists about using De-Oxit, and even
videos on YouTube. The important point is to buy the liquid (not the
spray) and using a drop on the end of a toothpick, place it on the
contacts and rotate the switch several times.
The spray works well on some things, but wafer switches may be damaged
by it.

It it's just the matter of a crystal, then you can find one on eBay or
have it custom made. Custom crystals run between $20 and $45 depending
upon who makes it and how quickly you need it.
