  Hello All,

Removal of this board is probably the most difficult of all the boards
in the Omni D. All wires are soldered directly and must re removed. Do
not mess with the front panel, switch indexing, or the ball chain. They
will all remain intact.

   1. Remove TX Mixer Board. This board is directly behind the VFO
Mixer Board and is in the way.
   2. Loosen the coupling between the metal shaft and the fiber shaft.
   3. Note all wire locations (there are 21 of them). I copied the
picture in the manual and noted the wire color on the copy. There
      are two red wires.
   4. Remove hold-down screws.
   5. Remove all wires. There are a few wires that will not be
accessible until the board is moved toward the rear slightly.
   6. Slide the board rearward until the metal shaft is free of switch
wafer. The fiber shaft will remain intact.
   7. Be careful not to change switch positions.
   8. Be careful not to disturb indexing.

Re-installation is just the reversal of removal. Remember to solder the
few wires that were the last to be removed before they become hidden.

73, Tim, W2UI
