Jerry,
Think of this way, it might make him feel better about his $4000 radio!
Part of that $4000 has to be service after the sale. And, if John Henry
promised him the fix would be easy to do and hasn't done it, then shame on
John Henry and Mike has a right to be upset. TenTec needs to remember that
most of their customers are not new but rather repeat customers. If you
really want Mike to, "make a choice and switch to one of those other
companies that are perfect", then TenTec will lose a customer. If TenTec
loses their repeat customers due to less than good service, then they will
not be in business much longer. There are some people on this list who do
not think TenTec will be in business 10 years from now. I hope that is not
the case. Let us hope that TenTec pays attention and fixes even the small
stuff to attract repeat business. I hope y'all keep buying the new stuff.
I am one of those people who buy the old stuff so that you and others can
buy their new stuff. ;-)

So, if you had this big issue fixed tomorrow would you be able to work
anything that you can't now? Would the receiver or transmitter somehow
work better. How about that state of the art DSP...would that be better if
you didn't have that display offset problem.

I own an Orion II and others by TT, love all of them. I also have no idea
what you're even talking about. You act like they sold you some kind of
defective product.

Life is about choices. If this display offset upsets you so much maybe its
time for you to make a choice and switch to one of those other companies
that are perfect.

I wonder who else is getting tired hearing about new products when Ten Tec
still hasn't finished the simple things on their old products. John Henry
told me at the Orlando Hamcation that it was an easy fix to correct the
display offset problem for LSB on the Orion 2. Wow! That was 6 months ago
and it still isn't fixed. Unbelievable.

I'd love to consider another TT product but putting up with this lack of
support is very, very frustrating.

Anyone else feel this way?
