Ahhhhh....... where do you get that Jim?  Various Ten-Tec, Elecraft, and Yaesu 
radios all 
have Rx to Tx turnaround times of at least 16mS (Eagle) to 36mS (FT5000) with 
other Ten-
Tec's and Elecraft in between.  Tx to Rx turnaround times run 18mS (Orion II) 
to 66mS 
(FT5000) again with other TT's and Elecrafts in between with TT radios all 
being close to the 
Orion II, others not so much.  Strangely, the ARRL did not publish K3 Rx to Tx 
turnaround 
time.   How is it that TT is going for the lowest common denominator?   

Has anyone complained about poor QSK performance with a Ten-Tec rig?   
Well....yes they 
did!  In the early days of the Orion, TT ran into latency issues with DSP as I 
recall.  They 
worked that out as you can see.  Orion and other TT's are the class of the 
field.

All that said, there is more to QSK operation than turnaround times.  But that 
is for another 
discussion.
