I am visualizing a simple rectangle block with four mounting holes and a
large hole bored in the center maybe .010 larger than the mast K3EJJ
manufactures split nylon bearings with a Rohn hole pattern that can be
installed as a replacement without removing the antennas.

In Aruba I used Create bearings which I think were some type of plastic
inside. They never froze up like the Rohn bearing I tried.

Peter,
Thanks for sharing the PI4CC photos and info. Lots of good engineering.
I am also interested to see Grant's design of a radial top bearing with 4"
thick UHMW.
