     With all due respect, this is probably because you have been a licensed 
ham for a very long time :-)  I've been licensed for 15 years and an ARRL 
member for about 12.  I still find plenty of interesting articles to read 
in QST, and I fondly remember as a new ham devouring every column inch of 
the magazine, as I'm sure new hams, even new contesters, must be doing today.
