Yep, I have the same problem. I didn't notice the problem with my older
Heil headset with the swithable elements; but it didn't have the noise
canceling feature.
Maybe it is something Ten-Tec needs to look into!

I have a Heil Noise Canceling Headset. Whenever I plug in the headphones,
the volumne dramatically drops and requires that I really 'crank' the
volume up. Of course, when I pull out the plug, I get blasted by the
speaker. Is this a known issue or do I have an "unique issue' to be
addressed with TenTec?
