Changes to the input network were not part of my original suggestion. I would however start with plate circuit non-original mods and work my way back to the grid mods. Possibly a wrong value, open component or cold solder joint is the culprit. The original Heath grid circuit also works very well as originally designed. SNIPPED >I read that Carl suggested removing mods to go "original", >but following the input circuit changes per Rich's suggestions >to reduce VSWR (reducing coil windings and changing in/out caps) >is pretty hard to undo. The VSWR is reduced dramatically, so >I don't know if the problem lies there. >Thanks for the thoughts. >Bennett >ko2ok > >------------------------------------------------------------------------- > >- >> Jon Ogden >> >> jono@enteract.com >> www.qsl.net/ke9na >> >> "A life lived in fear is a life half lived." >> >> > >-- >FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/ampfaq.html >Submissions: amps@contesting.com >Administrative requests: amps-REQUEST@contesting.com >Problems: owner-amps@contesting.com >Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm > > ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
