I have yet to see a good 4PR1000A from Triton.
I suggest you get the AMPEREX brand tubes they are still made by
Covimag. The 4-1000A and 4PR1000A tubes have graphite anodes and
are very rugged.  Have no experience with the smaller tubes.
Don't get PENTA!!!!!
